Hello all!

Today, I will go over screen scape reflections (SSR) in HDRP!

Setting up the Reflection Probe

Like in URP, you must have a reflection probe in your scene.

  1. Add a reflection probe.
  2. Resize it to the size of your room.
  3. Set Use Influence Volume to true. This allows the probe to only reflect what’s inside its box.

Now that you look at the reflections, they are off a little bit. This is where SSR comes into play!

Screen Space Reflections

To set up SSR, we need to go into our HDRP Asset and enable it under Lighting.

When that is enabled, head to your global volume and add the Screen Space Reflections override. There you can change values to make your scene look amazing!

That was how to enable accurate reflections in your scene!

Next, I will go over how and why to light probes!

Thank you for your time!
