Hello all!

Today, I will be going over using multiple post processing volumes!

I added a box volume to the hallway to make it red when I enter

Why use Multiple PP Volumes

As seen in the .GIF above, when I walked into the hallway, I set that volume to change the color red. This can help you tell the player that there’s danger there. Let’s see other applications:

  • You can have a global volume that affects everywhere but have certain areas with different climates, so the color or affects changes accordingly.
  • You can always attach a volume to the player and when certain conditions are met, you can make the players change color, make them look dizzy/drunk, give a film grain for an eerie look, and many more options.
  • If don’t want fog everywhere, you can make a local volume instead of using the global volume.

I’m sure there are so many more, but those are the best ones I can think of now!

There are so many options with PP in HDRP, I can’t wait to mix and match to get a perfect scene!

Next, I’m going over Baking Lights and the difference between Static and Dynamic objects!

Thank you for your time!
