Hello all!

Today, I will be going over control tracks in Timeline!

What Does a Control Track Do?

A control track is used to layer other timelines together! I have the sphere in a different timeline but can control it from this timeline.

This seems very useful to declutter your workspace. You can always make several timelines, then have a master timeline so you aren’t looking at hundreds of tracks and clips.

That was control tracks!

Next up, diving into coding with signal tracks!

Thank you for your time!

Hello all!

Today, I will be going over audio tracks in Timeline!

What Does an Audio Track Do?

This track allows us to add sound at specific times in an animation. You can also change the speed and volume it’s played at and where the sound is coming from in a 3D space.

This can be used for something like water drips in a dark cave to help guide the player towards their goal!

You can do fun things with audio tracks!

Hello all!

Today, I will be going over activation tracks in Timeline!

Look at the activation track for the sphere

What Does an Activation Track Do?

All an activation track does is make the object its tied to active or not active. When there is no active clip in the track, the object is turned off. When Timeline is playing the active clip, the object becomes active again. And, when the animation ends, the object will stay in its current state.

A good use for this would be flickering lights. You can insert short active clips over and over again to give a room scary feels!
