Hello all!

Today, I will be going over the benefits of going to HDRP. Let’s check this out!

HDRP vs URP

If you need a game that can run on your smartphone or low end PC, go with URP. But, if you are looking to make a game for a high end PC or the modern consoles, then stick with HDRP.

With HDRP, you can make your scene go the extra mile with more options to shaders, post processing, lighting, and much more! You just have to watch creativity versus end user’s performance.

All in all, the biggest difference between them is options!

Next time, I will be going over height maps and vertex displacement!

Thank you for your time!

Hello all!

Today, I will go over reflection probes in URP!

Looking at the image below, see how the floor and walls are reflecting the green from the test tubes? That’s basically all they do, but a little tweaking goes a long way! If you tweak the intensity too high, everything will radiate green.

Be sure to keep the probes boundaries in close to the outside of your scene if you have multiple rooms with different lights.

That was another short one, but this was using Reflection Probes in URP! But, with this article, I am done with URP and will now jump into the High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP).

See you there!
